  2023-09-26

To examine whether the interaction between mGlu7 and α1-adrenergic receptors could be confirmed at a behavioural level, we performed the FST in mice. This test has value in predicting the antidepressant-like effect of drugs or environmental manipulations (Krishnan and Nestler, 2008, Krishnan and Nes

  2023-09-26

AMPK is a serine/threonine protein kinase composed of a catalytic α subunit with the activating phosphorylation site (Thr172) and two regulatory subunits, β and γ. The two AMPK variants, α1 and α2, show different cellular localization in mammalian cells. AMPKα2 is detected in nuclear and non-nuclear

  2023-09-26

In our previous study, adiponectin system (genes and proteins) expression in the porcine endometrium and myometrium was observed on Days 2 to 3, 10 to 12, 14 to 16, and 17 to 19 of the estrous cycle [23]. Adiponectin receptors expression (mRNA) in the porcine endometrium was described by Lord et al.

  2023-09-25

Targeting the BCR is the ideal strategy to identify the antigen reactive B cells. However, there is concern that B cells could be activated when BCR are bound and cross-linked by antigens, a possibility that is obviously negative for the treatment of autoimmune disease. Proby et al. (2000) tried to

In patients with spina bifida and spinal cord injury, fecal incontinence is a serious issue that can impair activities of daily living and patient self-esteem. To address this Malone et al. first described the Antegrade Continence Enema (ACE) procedure in 1990 [1], which achieves continence by all

  2023-09-25

The benzimidazole group seems to be a key feature for the excellent anti-tumor activity of galeterone (159), which motivated the synthesis of new steroidal inhibitors containing N-heterocyclic groups structurally related to benzimidazole. Thus, several 1H- and 2H-indazole derivatives of dehydroepian

Here, we show that the co-activation of RTKs and non-RTKs is a common trait in treatment-naïve EGFR-mutation-positive NSCLC Firefly Luciferase and patients, with AXL and CDCP1 being commonly over-expressed. 2023-09-25

The original Aurora kinase was identified during a phenotypic screen for defects in mitotic spindles in Drosophila mutants. Aurora mutants were so named because of the morphological defects at the mitotic spindle resembling the Aurora borealis, or the Northern light [4]. The structure of the Auroras

Breast cancer The interactions between 15-LOX and COX enzymes also affect the outcome of breast cancer. Indomethacin, a COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor, decreased the growth of human breast cancer (BC) cells in nude mice, as well as slowed the rate of lung metastasis formation [41]. The levels of 12-HE

Results Discussion Both ATM and ATR are key regulators of the cellular response to DSBs, yet how exactly they function in concert is not well understood. Recent studies revealed that ATM is required for the resection of DSBs (Jazayeri et al., 2006, Myers and Cortez, 2006), a process necessary

  2023-09-25

Discussion Arginase 1 and Arginase 2 are homologous enzymes that consume l-arginine to produce l-ornithine and urea [14], [15]. These enzymes compete with NO synthases for the same substrate [14], [15], [30], and therefore may reduce NO production [21], [24], [30]. The colocalization of arginases
