  2022-03-10

Previously we have isolated liver FBPase from Pelophylax esculentus (former Rana esculenta, Frost et al., 2006) and characterized its kinetic properties (Dziewulska-Szwajkowska and Dzugaj, 1999) on the contrary the muscle FBPase has never been fully characterized. The primary aim of the present pape

Dual-acting HR antagonists While the present medicinal chemistry efforts are mainly focused on selective ligands targeting GPCRs, and particularly on H1R, H3R and H4R selective antagonists/agonists, there were and, also, still are several efforts to develop dual acting H1R/H2R, H1R/H3R and H3R/H4

  2022-03-10

Histamine modulates an attentional state, which might affect performances in the object recognition test. Indeed, systemic injection of H3 receptor inverse agonists enhances the attentional state (41). However, the memory recovery in our study is unlikely to be due to the enhanced attentional state.

  2022-03-10

Yap and Taz may regulate epicardial cell proliferation, EMT, and fate determination via multiple mechanisms. In this study, we provide evidence that Yap/Taz function in part by directly modulating Tbx18 and Wt1 expression. Members of the T-box family of transcription factors regulate a variety of de

Conclusion Conflict of interest Introduction The human epithelial receptor 2 (HER2 or erbb2) is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family of receptor tyrosine kinases that act through the EGF signaling cascade [1,2]. Approximately 20% of breast cancers overexpress HER2

  2022-03-10

Glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) is an evolutionarily conserved serine/threonine kinase that plays multifaceted role in diverse cellular and neurophysiological processes [8]. GSK-3β is regulated by inhibitory serine and stimulatory tyrosine phosphorylation on Ser9 and Tyr216 respectively [9]. Dy

  2022-03-10

Also in this work, we investigated the correlated signaling pathways of GSK-3 inhibition in protecting bupivacaine-induced DRG neurotoxicity. Through western blot assay, we demonstrated that, SB216763 suppressed protein productions of p-GSK-3 α/β and Casp-3, but increased protein production of PKC,

  2022-03-09

The original Bee Synch methodology (now termed Bee Synch I) utilizes a 5-day CIDR, GnRH (GnRH-1) and PGF on day 0, double dose of PGF on day 5, and FTAI with GnRH (GnRH-2) at 66 h after CIDR removal. Cruppe et al. (2014) reported that the inclusion of GnRH on day 0 does not contribute appreciably to

Dysregulation of glutamate transporter expression and function Aberrant glutamate transporter function and expression are associated with various neurological disorders. Therefore, understanding the underlying mechanisms of EAAT1/2 expression may provide therapeutic targets for treating neurologi

  2022-03-09

The molecular identity of RA’s target during LTP induction was determined by pharmacological testing. The inhibitory effects of CNQX and niflumic acid on LTP induction remained even in the presence of RA, indicating RA did not affect either the AMPA receptor nor chloride channel (Fig. 2B and D) [26]

Overnight 1-mg dexamethasone suppression testing (DST) of the BclI polymorphism carriers found them to have lower cortisol levels, suggesting an increased sensitivity to GCs with respect to the transrepression effect of cortisol on the POMC gene of the corticotroph pituitary cells [28]. The exact me
